Texas Rangers pitching prospect Owen White made a memorable impression in Seattle even before the All-Star break began. As the top pitching prospect in the organization, White had the honor of starting the All-Star Futures Game for the American League team. In his perfect inning of work, he efficiently retired three of the minor leagues' top hitters, using only eight pitches.

Despite already making his MLB debut on June 13, followed by a brief stint in Double-A Frisco and a promotion to Triple-A Round Rock on June 20, the 23-year-old pitcher was selected for the prestigious Futures Game.
